Mr Lutakome Tadius, a Head teacher of Kakuuto advanced Primary School receiving a cheque on behalf of the school. “The trees are now grown and used as teaching aid and shelters” he said.
The Executive Director of CIDI, Dr.Jjuuko Fulgensio interacted with the Managing Director TROFACO Stephen Johnsen while on site viewing Mr Semakula and his family’s tree site at Kiya Rakai district.
Dr. Jjuuko expressed his gratitude to the individuals who received carbon compensation for their commitment to caring for the trees they received. He urged everyone to consider planting trees at their homes, along their property lines, and on thier vacant land. He acknowledged TROFACO for the connections and transparency they provided and thanked the CIDI staff for their efforts in making the project successful.
